Like my title implies, Grant and Sarah had a spectacular wedding day surrounded by the friends and family who support and love them. They crushed it in the photo department, friend department, family department, and marriage department. The day wasn’t short on tears and hugs, which I love.
I won’t go into details, but Sarah’s family has recently been battling a sudden and aggressive illness in their family. Sarah, Grant and their families tackle this with the most grace and care I’ve ever seen. This fact doesn’t even begin to cloud their wedding day although some key plans have changed — In fact, they are grateful, steadfast and positive, and seem to only care about the fact that they’re able to celebrate this day together, no matter the circumstances. It was a very special and powerful thing to watch and to capture. I love that about these two families.
The day ended with a pair of split groomsmen trousers, and wedding guests waving Sarah and Grant off to a rendition of “Go, Cubs, Go”, which incidentally did not help things, as the Cubs lost their first game in the NLCS series to the LA Dodgers that very night. I digress.
Wach Out. The pics are gorgeous.
