General Questions
what do you shoot with?
Are you able to travel for weddings or sessions?
A Nikon d750, baby. Sometimes a few old film cameras. Sometimes an old school Polaroid. Sometimes my cheese camera.
Absolutely! I'll travel wherever your day takes you. My passport is up to date and dying for more stamps. I include all travel expenses into my destination wedding prices outside of OK, and I'll book my own accommodations, flights, rental car, etc, so you don't have to worry about anything else but hiring me. Let's go!
How long have you been a photographer?
Do you work with same sex couples?
This is a question I seem to answer differently every time. Really, I’ve been taking pictures since I was a kid. I photographed my first official wedding at 16. I’m 29 now. So… forever?
HELL YES! In fact, I co-founded the Oklahoma Rainbow Collective, which is a directory of wedding professionals who believe love is love and work with and celebrate couples of all kinds. So if you're looking for any other vendors for your wedding day - that's a great place to start.
Can you help or offer advice with planning?
Totally! I’ve now photographed hundreds of weddings, of all types, and I know the industry pretty well. Just let me know what you’re needing help with and I’ll be there with my advice and recommendations. I’m here to make this process totally easy for you!
What do payment plans look like?
What package suits me best?
Pricing Questions
I jokingly call this the “whatever, whenever plan.” As long as your total balance is paid in full one week prior to your wedding date, you’re all set. Need to pay a little each month? Want to split your payments into two? Whatever is the easiest for you.
I have a range of wedding collections that are designed to fit most budgets and needs. Wedding collections range from $2400 - $7000. The average investment for my wedding and elopement collections is between $4000 - $5800. However, if you need something more tailored to your event, I'm happy to work with you so you get everything you want and need for your wedding day!
Why are elopements the same price as weddings?
Can I modify a wedding collection?
I'm happy to chat with you about your needs for your wedding day and make sure you get everything you're looking for! I'm super easy going and can accomodate most requests for you, just ask.
Elopements are not just a fancy photoshoot. They ARE still your wedding day, and I approach them the same as any other wedding day. I specialize in elopements, and my eloping couples lots of time, resources, and dedication to the job as any "big-wedding" client would receive! Elopement day coverage ranges from $3000 - $10000. The average elopement booking is around $5200.
Do you offer discounts?
No.
How often do you work with a second shooter?
Shooting Questions
What if there's bad weather on our day?
This is Oklahoma, so understandably this is a great question. My advice is generally to roll with it. Raining on your wedding day? I’m there with the clear umbrellas and shower curtain for you to stand on. My best advice is never to stress: rain and storms make for memorable days and pretty darn good photos. In the spring storm seasons here, it never hurts to always have an indoor backup plan as part of your planning process, as well.
I work with a second shooter if your collection has allowed for one. I have a very talented network of photographers that I choose to work with and who closely match my style and philosophy when it comes to photographing. I typically recommend having a second shooter if your wedding will have over 100 guests.
Do you have backup equipment with you?
What type of photo sessions do you offer?
Always! Backup cameras, backup batteries, lenses, etc... And insurance.
My passion is definitely photographing micro weddings, elopements, and couples of all kinds. I do also love and at times offer boudoir, lifestyle & family portraits, but I typically reserve those types of sessions for my past clients. If you’re curious about any of these sessions and if I have time available for them, don’t hesitate to shoot me a message.
Editing questions
will you photoshop us?
So like, what is your editing style?
I don’t believe in altering the way you look, but will remove blemishes, acne, bruises (anything that isn’t normally there!) If there’s something you’re especially sensitive about, let me know. I always do my best to direct and photograph you in the most flattering way, and to make you feel the most comfortable. But if you want your faces photoshopped into an 80’s style photo of you and your dog, I can totally do that.
Good question. I really don't want you to look like an oompa-loompa in your wedding day photos, which is really "hot" right now. A lot of photographers will tell you they're either "light and airy" or "dark and moody." I don't really like to box myself into any of that. I shoot where there is good, flattering light available, I edit my photos to maintain true-to-life colors that will still look good in 50 years, and I often edit based on the emotion of the photo.
can we have the RAW files?
What's your turnaround time for our edited photos?
Giving out RAW images would be like me giving you a raw pizza to eat. It didn't go in the oven, it didn't get its special sauce, and it didn't get cooked to perfection. Do you want to eat a raw pizza? In other words, no, you may not.
Your edited wedding images are typically delivered between 5-8 weeks. Engagement or portrait session images are delivered in about 2 weeks.
How many photos will we get?
My collections vary in how long I might be with you, but I’ll always deliver the best images from your day. I don’t want to name a specific amount for this reason. I promise to capture your day fully and give you all the images you’ll need to remember how awesome you felt.
