There is nothing more perfect than a wedding filled with personal details! Susan and Robert wanted a beautiful garden party wedding that was no-fuss. The most important part of the whole day was celebrating with their loved ones. And it was absolutely perfect! Intimate weddings are not just about a smaller guest count but about allowing you to soak in all the memories. Unlike larger weddings, where you might spend the whole reception saying hello to guests, at intimate weddings, it is just about the two of you and those you care most about.
For the garden party theme, Daffodil Hill fit their vision! This is one of my favorite venues in Oklahoma City, for so many reasons! First, this venue focuses on smaller weddings. Their venue hosts weddings that are 82 guests and under, so it feels intimate and unique. Their beautifully landscaped courtyard gardens are enchanting. Guests can really enjoy the space, and feel like they have traveled to a European garden. Daffodil Hill also offers intimate elopement packages, so they can make it perfect even if you have 10 guests.
Personal Wedding Details
Everything about this wedding was so “them”. Susan chose pink Vans as her wedding day shoe, which I loved. As she put them on, she told me, “these just felt more ‘me’, ya know?” And she rocked them. She wore a dreamy tulle and lace gown that had off-the-shoulder sleeves and beautiful details. She tied in her pink shoes with a blush and cream bridal bouquet, filled with peonies, anemones, and roses.
Before the ceremony, they had a sweet first look. It was such a beautiful moment to photograph! Susan and Robert are just so in love, and were so happy to see each other. When I photograph First Looks, I always make sure the couple has a few minutes after to just soak it all in, and cuddle up. We explored the gardens and took time for the two of them to enjoy this time alone. The lush greenery and flowers added soft touches of color and were so enchanting.
Intimate Wedding at Daffodil Hill
Their ceremony took place in the courtyard, and the soft afternoon glow lit up the garden. The courtyard at Daffodil Hill is so perfect for intimate wedding ceremonies since you can have a peaceful space for guests and are just steps away from the reception. The reception took place on the lawn, with round tables topped with fresh flower centerpieces. The couple chose the hanging table, which was so unique! The hanging table is a statement piece at this venue and lets the couple have a fun sweetheart table tucked away but still lets guests come up and mingle.
As the sunset, the soft evening glow made the most incredible golden hour pictures. The glowing bistro lights added lighting for the reception, which included a delicious meal and dessert! It was such a perfect wedding day like none other and seeing the true and unwavering love that these two people share was such an honor to photograph.
