Hell yes.
I love it when couples choose to get ready in their homes because you really see the intricacies of their daily family life woven into their wedding day. It’s a little more laid back, and I feel like I can be a bit more “fly-on-the-wall” watching the way everyone interacts in such a familiar space. Spending time with Natalie, and then Scott, as they got ready was the perfect way to start their wedding day. Every moment leading up to the ceremony was relaxed, fun, and full of so much excitement and love from their surrounding family and friends.
Natalie and Scott have family from Louisiana, so it was only natural for Natalie and Scott to plan a Mardi Gras celebration for their family and friends. Their Oklahoma Memorial Union wedding reception was decked to the nines, complete with masks and beads adorning each table, and a cajun style dinner that was served up by OU’s catering staff – not to mention the amazing cakes (and Harry Potter groom’s cake!!) that was made by a family friend.
I loved my time celebrating these two. Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Blankenship!
