2020 has been a heck of a year, hasn’t it? Especially for weddings in Oklahoma. I mean, things have changed drastically and so quickly. It’s hard to believe that I photographed Heidi and Tate’s beautiful wedding day at Eight Ten Ranch just 3 months ago! It feels like so far away! But today I’m sharing some of my favorite photos from their day so full of love.
Heidi and Tate told me just weeks before their wedding day they still weren’t sure how things were going to play out; they had even held off on a lot of decor and details until right before their wedding day, but look how beautiful and effortless they made it look! They chose a color scheme of emerald green, gold, and navy, which perfectly complemented the white interior of Eight Ten Ranch and it’s lush grounds.
The day of the wedding was so easy going. I caught glimpses of Tate and Heidi’s families lounging, playing music together on the large porch, and reminiscing before everyone started to get ready — moments which I love seeing. I think my favorite moments from this day are when Heidi and Tate saw each other for the first time — it was emotional for them, and their families got to watch (sneakily!) from the large venue windows. Afterward, they were the most stress-free souls around — just happy to be together on this day.
From the stylish details like the velvet bridesmaids dresses, the draping greenery, gold and navy accents, to the love that was so present on this day from their family and friends, this wedding was a stunner. Even with the amazing details and beautiful venue, love was at the center of this day. In their pre-wedding questionnaire, Heidi shared some great advice for others I’d like to repeat:
“If I could say one thing it would be don’t stress. That is pretty common advice, but I believe the best advice. I think that it can be easy to get wrapped up in all of the minor details and forget what the day is truly about. The day is about you and your partner and as long as you have each other everything will be perfect!”
Couldn’t have said it better. Enjoy!
A huge thank you to the vendors who helped make this day possible!
